Description: Frida Liappa was born in Messini in 1948. She is one of the most important women directors of the post-dictatorship generation. She studied literature at the University of Athens, but was imprisoned and expelled from the university for her anti-dictatorship activities. In 1972, she made her first short film entitled "After Forty Days". In 1973 he moved to London, where he attended the London Film School. Returning to Athens, he became a member of the editorial team of Contemporary Cinema, while also writing articles for other film magazines. He published poetry collections and short stories. He has directed many documentaries for television, three short films and three feature films that have won many awards at festivals in Greece and abroad. He died in 1994 at the age of 46
