Description: George Cosbuc poet, translator, teacher, and journalist. He was born in Transylvania and raised with lovely stories told by his mother and the people in his village. By the age of 5 he learned to read. His inspiration was the Romanian folklore. His master piece is Nunta Zamfirei (Zamfira’s Wedding) along with other poems such as Mama (The Mother). As a journalist he worte for the most important Romanian publications. He was elected titular member of the Romanian Academy.
