Description: Vasile Ursu Nicula, aka as Horea was a Transylvanian peasant. Together with Ioan Oarga (aka as Closca) and Marcu Giurgiu (aka as Crisan) he played a major role in the peasand rebellion in 1784 in Transylvania. The Austrian army put down the rebellion as the peasants were betrayed. Horea was locked in Alba Iulia prison together with Closca and Crisan. Crisan hunged himself in the prison while Horea and Closca were executed with cruelty at the 28th of february 1785.
