Description: Alexandros Koumoundouros: He was born in Mani of Messinia in 1815 and he came from a historical family. He finished school at the Gymnasium of Nafplio and studied law at the. For a while he worked as a lawyer in Kalamata. In 1850 he was elected as a representative in Messinia. He became a Minister 7 times and President of the Greek Parliament 2 times. From 1865 until his death, for ten times, he was a Prime Minister. During his government/ service Thessalia and South Hepirus (Arta) were annexated to Greece pacifically. He regaled the taxes, he reorganized the army and he limited the theft/robbery at the sea and in the mainland. He died in 1883.
