Description: Athanasios Daskarolis: He was born in Messini at 1897. He graduated from the Military School with the rank of Lieutenant. He also studied mechanic engineer at the Polytechnic University and Law at the University of Athens. At his lifetime he took part as a military governor in many wars and in many missions. Asia Minor (Anatolia) where he expelled as a military commander and later at the war against the Italians where he expelled as a military governor. Then with the English he fought the Germans in the Middle East. At the Civil War he fought the communists with the civil army. At 1950 he took part in dangerous expeditions in Korea where he expelled. He supported Eleftherios Venizelos, he never took part in a political or military riot/movement and he always served the legitimate government. He passed away on May 28, 1988 in Athens
