Description: Lucian Blaga was one a commanding personality of the Romanian culture of the interbellum spirit. He was a poet writer, philosopher, academician and diplomat. The University of Cluj dedicated him in 1939 a special position as a teacher of the philosophy of culture. The Communist Party dismissed him from his university professor chair and he was forbidden from publishing due to his refusal to enrol in the Party. His work was published post-mortem.
