Aristotle was an ancient Greek philosopher and scientist who was born in Stageira, Halkidiki, Macedonia in 384 BC. A student first and then a teacher at Plato's Academy in Athens, he was closely associated with Plato and his teaching, but formed his own philosophical approach.
His works refer to many sciences, such as physics, biology, zoology, metaphysics, logic, ethics, poetry, theater, music, rhetoric, politics, etc., and constitute the first complete system in Western Philosophy.
His works influenced philosophical, theological and scientific thought for centuries until the post-Renaissance era.
He was the teacher of Alexander the Great, at the request of Alexander's father, King Philip.
